Description

This is a fully functional miniature of the popular "gobbo" in Italy – a traditional craft of the Loreto Aprutino municipality.

The times we live in are marked by increased consumption. As a result, the objects we use daily hold no value for us beyond their utility. Over the years, we often shed the sentimentality they deserve, replacing them with newer models.

In complete opposition to this situation is the philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand that produces exceptional knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its core principle is fidelity to tradition, which is now upheld by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.

The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the products. For this reason, their manufacturing philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand years of quality testing.

Unlike others, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of artisans but are performed from start to finish by the same individual. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
High-quality materials are used in production – blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.

The owners encourage that their products, although intended for everyday use, be treated with respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
