Contrary to this trend, the philosophy of Berti Knives is based on producing exceptional knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be completely independent of the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its most important value is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.
The owners strongly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. For this reason, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they introduce elements consistent with their existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are made among others from buffalo, bison, and deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The brand owners suggest that, despite being designed for everyday use, their products should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each of them is a small, unique artifact.
