The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exclusive knives for various purposes, differs from this approach. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the small manufactory seems entirely detached from the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which is now maintained by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of their products. For this reason, their manufacturing philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they bring elements consistent with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections but are carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
