The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exclusive knives for various purposes, is quite different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory seems entirely detached from the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of their products. For this reason, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this Italian family is not closed to innovations. They are very much welcomed, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are made, among others, from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
