The philosophy of Berti Knives, a producer of exclusive knives for various purposes, is quite different from this trend. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be completely detached from the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its core principle is loyalty to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. Innovations are highly desirable, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the different stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of workers but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, as well as 'bosso' wood.
