In complete opposition to this situation is the philosophy of Berti Knives, a company producing exceptional knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be entirely autonomous from the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the products made. Therefore, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that the Italian family is closed to any changes. Changes are very welcome, provided they bring elements consistent with the existing vision and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections, but are carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from materials including buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.
