However, the philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various purposes, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be completely detached from the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its most important value is fidelity to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The owners strongly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would cause the loss of identity of the offered knives. Therefore, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to any changes. Changes are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the individual stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of artisans, but are carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The highest quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo, bison, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The owners recommend that, despite being designed for everyday use, their products should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is a small, unique work of art.
