Contrasting this situation is the philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exclusive knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory seems to be completely detached from the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections, but are carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials - blades are made of steel, and handles among others from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
The owners encourage that their products, although intended for everyday use, are treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is a small, unique work of art.
