However, the philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exceptional knives for various uses, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop seems to be completely detached from the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its most important value is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The owners firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. For this reason, their company's philosophy places great emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are very welcome, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the individual stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of workers, but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials – blades are made of steel, and handles are made, among others, from bison, buffalo, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The owners encourage that their products, although intended for everyday use, be treated with the proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is a small, unique artifact.
