Contrary to this trend, the philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive multi-purpose knives, stands apart. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop appears to be completely detached from the trends that have influenced the global market over the years. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, which is now upheld by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would erode the identity of their knives. Therefore, their manufacturing philosophy places special emphasis on the personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family business is closed to change. Changes are welcome, provided they align with the existing concept and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike competitors, the individual stages of knife production are not carried out by specialized groups of artisans, but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
