Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be completely detached from the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its core value is a commitment to tradition, which is now maintained by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The owners strongly oppose mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of their products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing idea and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, each stage of the knife-making process is not handled by specialized artisan sections but is performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, every blade is completely unique.
High-quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, while handles are crafted from buffalo, bison, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
