Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the industry over the years. Its core principle is loyalty to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.

The founders strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to change. Changes are very welcome, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of artisans but are carried out from start to finish by the same individual. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are, among others, made from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.

The owners encourage that their products, although intended for everyday use, be treated with the proper respect, which guarantees their durability for many years. Each one is, after all, a small, unique artifact.
