Description
The person responsible for the design of this magnificent pocket knife is none other than Severino Berti.
The times we live in are characterized by increased consumption. Therefore, the items we use every day are devoid of any value other than utilitarian. With each passing year, we often do not show the proper sentiment towards them, replacing them with newer models.
In complete opposition to this situation, the philosophy of Berti Knives is based on producing exceptional knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the global market over the years. Its core principle is a strong attachment to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.
The owners firmly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of their knives. For this reason, their work philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any changes. Changes are very much welcomed, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing idea and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the individual stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of workers but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique. The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are made from materials such as buffalo, bison, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
The owners encourage that their products, although intended for everyday use, be treated with the appropriate respect, which guarantees their longevity. After all, each of them is a small, one-of-a-kind work of art.
