Description
Japanese Santoku knife from the Miyabi 5000MCD 67 series features an extremely hard core made of powdered MicroCarbide steel to maintain the blade edge at optimal sharpness.
Santoku is the best-selling Japanese type of knife, and its name means "Three Virtues," referring to meat, fish, and vegetables.
The core is surrounded by 132 outer layers of steel, creating a unique Damascus pattern on the blade.
The cutting edge, crafted using the Honbazuke technique, is symmetrical, allowing use by both right- and left-handed users. It does not have a finger guard, so the entire length of the cutting edge can be used.
The handle is made from high-quality black ash wood, providing better control and effortless work.
To keep your knife in top condition, handle with care. Hand washing and honing on a whetstone are recommended. Avoid using glass, ceramic, or stone cutting boards.
