Description
The Japanese Santoku knife from the Miyabi 5000MCD 67 series features an exceptionally hard MicroCarbide powdered steel core to maintain the blade edge in optimal sharpness. Santoku is the best-selling type of Japanese blade, and its name derives from the "Three Virtues," which are meat, fish, and vegetables. The core is surrounded by 132 outer layers of steel, creating a unique Damascus pattern on the blade. The cutting edge, crafted using the Honbazuke technique, is symmetrical, allowing it to be used by both right- and left-handed individuals. It does not have a finger guard, enabling the use of the entire length of the cutting edge. The handle is made from the highest quality black ash wood, providing better control and effortless work. To keep your knife in the best condition, caution is advised. Only hand washing and sharpening with a whetstone are recommended. Avoid using glass, ceramic, and stone cutting boards.
