The philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exceptional knives for various uses, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this family workshop seems to remain completely detached from the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its core principle is fidelity to tradition, which is now upheld by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The owners strongly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products offered. Therefore, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of the employed personnel. This does not mean, however, that this Italian family is closed to change. Changes are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The best quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo, bison, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
