Contrary to this situation, the philosophy of Berti Knives brand is to produce exclusive knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be completely detached from the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its core idea is fidelity to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing idea and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are made among others from bison, buffalo, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
