The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exceptional knives for various uses, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its most important value is a commitment to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.
The founders of the brand strongly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of the identity of their knives. Therefore, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing idea and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of workers but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The highest quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, while handles are made, among others, from bison, buffalo, or deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
The brand owners suggest that, although intended for everyday use, their products should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is, after all, a small, unique work of art.
