The philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various purposes, differs from this trend. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be entirely autonomous from the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its core principle is fidelity to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The owners strongly deny the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the products made. For this reason, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they align with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections but are carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, while handles are among others made from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.
