However, the philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exceptional knives for various purposes, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems completely detached from the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its most important value is a commitment to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products. For this reason, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are very welcome, provided they bring elements consistent with the existing idea and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the different stages of knife production are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as ox horns, bison horns, deer antlers, as well as 'bosso' wood.
