Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be entirely autonomous from the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its core principle is a commitment to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.

The owners strongly deny the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the knives produced. For this reason, their company's philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they introduce elements consistent with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.

Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not carried out by specialized groups of workers, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the best quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are made, among others, from bison, buffalo, deer horns, or 'bosso' wood.

The owners encourage that their products, although intended for everyday use, be treated with the proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is, after all, a small, unique artifact.
