The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exceptional knives for various purposes, differs from this trend. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family-owned manufactory appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the global market over the years. Its core value is fidelity to tradition, maintained today by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The founders strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of their knives. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of the employed personnel. However, this Italian family is not closed to change. Any modifications are welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife manufacturing are not carried out by specialized groups of artisans but are often performed from start to finish by the same individual. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are made from materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, or 'bosso' wood.
