In complete opposition to this situation is the philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exceptional knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family manufactory appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its most important value is fidelity to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.
The owners strongly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products offered. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of their staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
High-quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, and handles are made from materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, or 'bosso' wood.
