Contrary to this trend, the philosophy of the Berti Knives brand stands, producing exceptional knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be completely independent of the trends that have dominated the world over the years. Its most important value is fidelity to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of these excellent craftsmen.
The owners strongly reject the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of artisans, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, or 'bosso' wood.
