The philosophy of Berti Knives, a producer of exclusive knives for various purposes, differs from this trend. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small manufactory appears to be completely independent of the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its core principle is fidelity to tradition, which is now maintained by the fourth generation of experienced artisans.
The founders of the brand strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products offered. For this reason, their workshop’s work philosophy places great emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are very much welcomed, provided they introduce elements consistent with their traditional approach and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized sections of workers, but are performed from start to finish by the same individual. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles are made of materials including bison, buffalo, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
