Description

The German Foreign Minister in the 1920s, Gustav Stresemann (born 1878, died 1929), received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1926 along with Aristide Briand for his Franco-German reconciliation efforts. Beyond his distinguished political career, Stresemann was also known for a particular suit design. It was characterized mainly by pinstripe trousers. These trousers form the basis of the tribute that this collection officially pays to “Stresemann”.

The origins of Pelikan date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer of oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – which was the foundation of the company's production line, from which the well-known global brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in producing exclusive writing instruments.

Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the highest attention to detail at every stage of the manufacturing process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. They are also sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.

German Pelikan writing instruments, with their characteristic resin bodies and beak-shaped clips, have become symbols of the finest taste and sophistication over the years.
