San Giacomo Ancient religious icon from the late 18th century, oil painting on canvas, originally oval, later reinterpreted in a rectangular shape with a new frame. Depicts Saint James derived from a painting by Piazzetta created in 1717 in the San Stae church in Venice. The work shows Saint James being led to martyrdom, recognizable by the attributes of a book and pilgrim’s staff, while one of the executioners is being violently restrained.

The depicted painting is preserved in good condition, presented in an uneven, gilded frame measuring 88 x 77 x 6.5 cm.
