She is sitting, leaning on one arm, with her ankles crossed in front of her, and her face slightly tilted to the side, looking a bit thoughtful and a bit dreamy.

Giorgia is a limited edition, which means there is no fixed number of pieces, but this particular figurine will only be produced in 2020. Her name is painted below the salmon-colored base in pink, along with the reference year and serial number. These inscriptions are then baked with color in the kiln during the third firing to imprint on the surface. This process guarantees authenticity and quality.

Every item produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the craftsmanship of each piece and in the technique used, which is unparalleled and difficult to imitate. These items are fully modeled and hand-painted in our laboratory in Vicenza (Italy). The clothing consists of thin porcelain sheets with printed textures. These sheets are cut according to the dress pattern and patiently applied to the sculpture’s torso. Hair hairstyles are also sometimes crafted by hand. Faces, clothing, and accessories on the “bisque” terracotta are painted with non-toxic colors; the piece is finally subjected to further firing called the “third fire.” Additional details, such as violin strings or stand supports, are added at this stage to the finished piece.

Based on experience with Capodimonte porcelain, it can be proudly stated that since the mid-1980s, Sibania has been a leading company in the production of porcelain dolls. Indeed, since the 1980s, production has been based on its own bisque component molds for the most important artisan workshops and doll-making companies in Italy. In 1998, the company began producing figurines, small sculptures mainly depicting children. On one hand, continuously recalling the productive finishing and decorating techniques learned from Capodimonte, and on the other, introducing new stylistic and technical methods.
