Porcelain plates should be on every family table
Although the history of porcelain dates back to the 7th century, in Poland, it begins about 1100 years later. It was then referred to as "white gold." It's also worth noting that porcelain became widespread in our country thanks to King Stanisław August Poniatowski. And although the first porcelain factory in Poland is dated to 1790, attributed to Wojtas from Ćmielów, few know that 22 years earlier, the aforementioned king was the founder of a manufactory in Belweder. According to museum sources, however, it was not possible to produce hard porcelain there. If you are an art and luxury product enthusiast, you should definitely have a porcelain tableware set at home. Of course, the most valuable are those passed down from generation to generation, but you can also purchase both classic and modern porcelain dishes in our Luxury Products store.
In our offer, we have a variety of sets, such as white, plain, colorful, decorated, for cakes, snacks, or soups, shallow, deep, square, and round plates. Discover porcelain dishes from the best European manufactories, such as Leander, Vista Alegre, Porcel, Rudolf Kampf, Seltmann Weiden. They are scratch-resistant and have a unique design. This way, you, your children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren can enjoy them for many years.
Advantages of using porcelain
Porcelain dishes have many advantages. They were appreciated by King Stanisław August Poniatowski and admired by Marco Polo, who is credited with bringing porcelain to Europe. Our grandmothers and great-grandmothers couldn't imagine a Sunday dinner without an elegant porcelain tableware set in the dining room. So what distinguishes "white gold"?- It is resistant to mechanical damage.
- Properly marked by the manufacturer, it can be washed in a dishwasher.
- It is resistant to discoloration from food.
- It is easy to clean; many porcelain plates can be washed with just water, without the use of dish soap or other detergents.
- It is widely available.
- Porcelain guarantees a high-quality product.
- It retains temperature well.
- Its elegant design looks sophisticated both on the dining table and in the sideboard in the living room.
Types of porcelain plates
Currently, the household market offers a wide range of dishes and tableware. Ceramic plates and glass plates are widely available and are what most people use daily. In some urban areas, there is still a belief that porcelain plates are a luxury meant for aristocratic tables. Not so; today, anyone can have them. At our Luxury Products warehouse, we have a rich palette of them, sold in sets or individually. This allows you to create your own personalized set, tailored to your taste.
We offer:
- deep porcelain plates and soup bowls, designed for serving soup,
- large flat plates, dedicated to main courses,
- medium flat plates, perfect for serving elegant breakfasts,
- dessert plates intended for serving cakes,
- cake stands, which are flat plates for displaying cakes,
- saucers for cups.
Which dinner plates should you buy?
The size of the porcelain tableware should be chosen according to the needs of your family and lifestyle. If you belong to a multi-generational family that gathers every Sunday for a shared meal or if you often invite friends for dinner parties, a large set for 12 people will certainly be useful.
When purchasing a porcelain dinner set, make sure it includes both deep plates for soup, flat plates for main courses, and dessert plates. Soup bowls and porcelain cups with saucers are also a good choice. A 6-person set is an ideal gift for a young couple on their wedding day or for the holidays.
