The PURA collection is defined by its curves. Its transparent design and classic lines give it an intimate character, inviting carefree enjoyment of writing. Its other features are equally impressive. Double-anodized aluminum radiates confidence in the hand, and the glossy silver finish intertwined with matte colors lends the PURA series expressive elegance.
The origins of Pelikan date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer of oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the well-known global brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in the production of exclusive writing instruments.
Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the highest attention to detail at every stage of the manufacturing process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. They are also sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
German Pelikan writing instruments with their characteristic resin bodies and a clip shaped like a pelican's beak have become symbols of the finest taste and sophistication over the years.
