Aquarius is a creative and sociable sign, and the figure also reflects these traits, with a hand extended towards the audience. The shape of the dress, perfectly smooth and unique in this collection, resembles the iconography of the sign, combined with a vase from which water flows, and the figure's left arm appears almost like the handle of a pitcher. The hair resembles a twisting waterfall, and the irregular but distinctly defined curls fall along one shoulder. 

The colors associated with Aquarius are blue and indigo, which can be found in the dress and details, as well as in the eyes. Instead, the hair is black, indicating a winter period. Like other Air signs, a stream of curly, irregular lace characterizes the figure, flowing down the front of the dress like a water stream, then spreading around it at the base.  The Aquarius symbol is emphasized by indigo accents on the figure’s chest.  Finally, the base is blue, reminding us of the element of air.

Every item produced by Sibania is absolutely unique in both craftsmanship and technique, which is unparalleled and makes imitation difficult. These pieces are fully modeled and hand-painted in our laboratory in Vicenza (Italy). The garments are thin porcelain sheets with printed textures. These sheets are cut according to the dress pattern and then patiently applied to the sculpture’s torso. Hairstyles are also sometimes handcrafted. On the “biscuit” terracotta, faces, clothing, and accessories are painted with non-toxic colors; the piece is ultimately subjected to a further firing called “third fire.” Any additional details, such as violin strings or stand supports, are added at this stage to the finished piece.

Based on experience with Capodimonte porcelain, it can be proudly stated that since the mid-1980s, Sibania has been a leading company in the production of porcelain dolls. Indeed, since the 1980s, production has been based on proprietary biscuit component models for the most important artisan workshops and doll-making companies in Italy. In 1998, the company began producing figurines, small sculptures mainly depicting children. On one hand, they continually remember the productive finishing and decorating techniques learned during Capodimonte experiences, and on the other, they introduce new stylistic and technical methods.
