Leo is a sign of the sun, warm and regal. Her pose reflects her character: elegantly seated with her legs to one side, she holds her hand extended forward on her legs and her head held high towards the world that admires her. The soft, baroque dress she wears accentuates her figure, starting from a medallion on her chest resembling a radiant sun. Her thick hair falls onto her shoulders and surrounds her face like a mane, while the gold headband symbolizes the crown of the zodiac king. 

The colors of Leo are gold and ochre, and here they are almost yellow mustard, like a majestic cat, and her hair tends to be a summer wheat blonde. Like other fire signs in the collection, Leo's dress is decorated with a radiantly twisted lace with a gold medallion.  The symbol of the sign resembles this last detail, from which a long tail begins, encircling the figure's shoulders.  Finally, the base is red to remember the belonging to the fire element.

Every item produced by Sibania is absolutely unique both in the craftsmanship of each piece and in the technique used, which is unparalleled and makes imitation difficult. These items are entirely modeled and hand-painted in our laboratory in Vicenza (Italy). The garments are thin porcelain sheets with textures printed on them. These sheets are cut according to the dress pattern and then patiently applied to the sculpture's torso. Hairstyles are also occasionally handcrafted. On the “biscuit” terracotta, faces, clothing, and accessories are painted with non-toxic colors; the piece is finally subjected to further firing called “third fire.” Any additional details, such as violin strings or stand components, are added at this stage to the finished piece.

Based on experience with Capodimonte porcelain, it can be proudly stated that since the mid-1980s, Sibania has been a leading company in the production of porcelain dolls. Indeed, since the 1980s, production has been based on proprietary biscuit component models for the most important artisan workshops and doll manufacturers in Italy. In 1998, the company began producing figurines, small sculptures mainly depicting children. On one hand, they continuously remember the productive finishing and decorating techniques learned during Capodimonte experiences, and on the other, they introduce new stylistic and technical methods.
