The high-quality lacquer of this classic writing instrument shines with a deep black and hides a secret: the upper part of each K 215 pen and the body of each M 215 fountain pen are made of metal. Thanks to this metal core, writing instruments have a very good weight when held in the hand. The silver rings give these models a touch of uniqueness and make them very popular.
The origins of Pelikan date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the well-known global brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in producing luxury writing accessories.
Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the highest attention to detail at every stage of the manufacturing process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. They are also sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
