If you're looking for a classic writing instrument par excellence, look no further. The Classic 200 Black series features a timeless design with deep black coloration, typical of Pelikan. It is made from high-quality resin. When used, the material tends to self-polish, giving the writing instrument a long-lasting shine. Decorative rings plated with 24-karat gold and the distinctive Pelikan beak-shaped clip emphasize its traditional design.
Pelikan's origins date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the well-known global brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in producing luxury writing articles.
Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the highest attention to detail at every stage of the manufacturing process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. They are also sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
