In complete opposition to this situation is the philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exclusive knives for various uses. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be entirely detached from the trends that have dominated the industry over the years. Its core value is a commitment to tradition, which is now maintained by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The founders strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. Therefore, the working philosophy of their workshop places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are highly welcomed, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife manufacturing are not handled by specialized artisan sections, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
