The philosophy of the Berti Knives brand, which produces exclusive knives for various uses, stands in contrast to this state of affairs. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop seems entirely independent of the trends that have prevailed worldwide over the years. Its guiding principle is fidelity to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian craftsmen.
The owners firmly oppose the idea of mass production using unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the products made. Therefore, the company's philosophy places great emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are very welcome, provided they bring elements consistent with the existing vision and can withstand long-standing quality tests.
Unlike the competition, the various stages of knife creation are not handled by specialized groups of workers but are often completed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is entirely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials - the blades are made of steel, and the handles are made from buffalo, bison, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
The brand's owners suggest that their creations, although intended for everyday use, should be treated with the respect that ensures their longevity. Each one is, after all, a small, unique artifact.
