The origins of Pelikan date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the well-known global brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in the production of luxury writing instruments.
Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the utmost care at every stage of the manufacturing process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. They are also sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
The writing instruments of the German brand Pelikan, with their characteristic resin bodies and a clip shaped like a pelican's beak, have over the years become a symbol of the best taste and refinement.
