The philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various purposes, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop seems to be completely independent of the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its most important value is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of their knives. Therefore, their company's philosophy places special emphasis on the employed staff. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to new ideas. They are very welcome, provided they align with the existing concept and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not carried out by specialized groups of workers, but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
High-quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, while handles are made from materials including buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.
The owners suggest that, although intended for everyday use, their products should be treated with proper respect, which guarantees their longevity. Each one is, after all, a small, unique artifact.
