The white parts are made from high-quality resin, which is first turned and then polished to a high gloss. The body with white and green stripes is made from cellulose acetate, carefully crafted and shaped into the grip. The distinctive double rings at the rear of the barrel and on the cap blend seamlessly into the material. This is achieved with the utmost precision to create a virtually smooth transition between the materials. The fountain pen features a fully rhodium-plated steel nib made from 14-karat gold and will be available in 4 widths: EF, F, M, and B. The matching ballpoint pen has a twist mechanism.
The Pelikan company's origins date back to chemist Carl Hornemann, who on April 28, 1838, presented his clients with an offer for oil paints, watercolors, and the so-called Pelikan archive – the foundation of the company's production line, from which the well-known global brand developed. The German manufacturer specializes in producing luxury writing instruments.
Decades of experience, specially trained staff, and the highest attention to detail at every stage of the production process ensure that each product is solidly made and unique. Depending on the model, the nibs are made from 14 or 18-karat gold. They are also sometimes rhodium-plated to achieve a silver shine. The decoration on the nib is typical for each model.
