Opera: Turandot is one of four collections inspired by classical music. Marlen often draws from European fine arts heritage, combining these inspirations with high-quality craftsmanship and solid, luxurious materials in every piece.
Turandot is an unfinished work by Giacomo Puccini, an Italian opera composer. The libretto was written by Giuseppe Adami and Renato Simoni, based on the play Turandot by Carlo Gozzi. Turandot tells the story of a Chinese princess who decides never to marry. To avoid marriage, she poses three extremely difficult riddles to her suitors, with failure to answer resulting in the death penalty. The play was completed after Puccini's death by Franco Alfano. The premiere took place on April 25, 1926, in Milan.
