iMuranesi is an artistic venture born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbiní. It was this man who brought the heritage of one of the most distinguished Venetian families, associated with Murano glassmaking, into the project.
The iMuranesi models are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include the beauty of craftsmanship, the use of modern manufacturing methods, sophisticated and bold design, and a strong connection between top designers and glassmakers.
It is currently a popular brand with an international reach, combining modernity with the traditional values of Venetian glass.

Behind this modern model lies a history that dates back several centuries, when the authorities of the Venetian Republic decided to concentrate all glass artisans in one place. To this day, its name is recognized worldwide, and the products originating from there continue to delight crowds.

The Barbiní family is one of the respected medieval lineages. They established their presence in Italy as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the time of the Venetian Republic, on the orders of the Council of Ten, the Barbiní clan was inscribed in the Golden Book of the Murano Society of Notables, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, the family was granted a coat of arms — depicting two bearded wise men facing each other with a star between them on a blue background — which can still be seen today in the Glass Museum on the island of Murano.
