The brand was established as an artistic venture, born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbiní. This gentleman brought with him the heritage of one of the oldest Venetian families, linked to the creation of exquisite Venetian glass.

iMuranesi is now a popular international company that combines modernity with traditional Murano glass values.
The Barbiní family is one of the well-known medieval dynasties. They established their presence on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic, the Barbiní family was recorded in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notable Figures by decree of the Consiglio dei Dieci, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, their family crest was granted at that time – depicting two bearded wise men looking at each other with a star above their heads on a blue background – which can still be seen today in the Glass Museum on Murano Island.
