To this day, the name of this place is known worldwide, and the glass originating from there delights crowds.
iMuranesi is an artistic venture conceived by Giampaolo Barbini. He is the one who brought into it the legacy of one of the most distinguished Venetian families, associated with glassmaking from Murano.
iMuranesi products are unique thanks to the combination of several equally important elements. These include harmony of detail, the use of modern manufacturing methods, sophisticated and contemporary design, and strong interaction between top designers and glassmakers.

The Barbini family is one of the respected medieval clans. They have left their mark on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the times of the Venetian Republic, by decree of the Consiglio dei Dieci, the Barbini clan was recorded in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers.
Additionally, they were granted a family crest – two bearded wise men facing each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be seen at the Glass Museum in Murano.
