This is a unique project born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbiní. He brought to it the heritage of one of the most distinguished Venetian families, connected with Murano glassmaking.
The iMuranesi models are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include harmony of detail, the use of innovative manufacturing methods, tasteful and modern design, and a strong bond between top designers and glassmakers.

The Barbiní family is one of the well-known medieval dynasties. These glassmakers have been present on the island of Murano since the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Republic of Venice, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbiní family was inscribed in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, at that time, the family was granted a coat of arms – featuring two bearded wise men facing each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be viewed at the Murano Glass Museum.
