This brand is an artistic venture conceived by Giampaolo Barbin. This gentleman brought with him the heritage of one of the most distinguished Venetian families, associated with Murano glassmaking.

The Barbin family is one of the well-known medieval clans. These glassmakers established their presence on Murano Island as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic, the Barbin family was inscribed in the Golden Book of Murano Society of Notables by decree of the Council of Ten, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, their coat of arms was granted at that time – depicting two bearded wise men facing each other with a star above their heads on a blue background – which can still be viewed at the Murano Glass Museum.
