Description

Part of an exciting series of sturdy, 1000-piece puzzles in a square box from Flame Tree, featuring powerful and popular works of art. This new puzzle will satisfy your challenge needs with famous post-impressionist masterpieces, such as Van Gogh's Wheat Field with Crows. This 1000-piece jigsaw is suitable for adults and children over 13 years old. Not suitable for children under 3 years due to small parts. The finished puzzle size is 735 x 510 mm / 29 x 20 inches. Now includes an A4 poster for reference purposes.

In Wheat Field with Crows, Vincent Van Gogh abandoned his earlier darker palette, replacing it with bright colors and directional brushstrokes to depict the airy wheat field swaying in the summer breeze. In the last years of his life, he painted several landscapes of wheat fields that evoke a range of emotions. In a letter to his brother, he explained his inspiration: “I am almost sure that these canvases illustrate what I cannot put into words, namely how healthy and calming I find the countryside.” His love for rural life is evident in the natural, quick, and lyrical execution of each brushstroke, bringing to life every flower and wheat sheaf. Although not widely accepted during his lifetime, Van Gogh is now one of the most famous artists in the world, and his incredible paintings will be admired forever.
