Description

An exciting part of the solid, 1000-piece puzzle series in a square Flame Tree box, featuring powerful and popular works of art. This new puzzle will satisfy your challenge craving with the famous post-impressionist masterpiece, Van Gogh's Starry Night. This 1000-piece jigsaw is suitable for adults and children over 13 years old. Not suitable for children under 3 due to small parts. The finished puzzle measures 735 x 510 mm / 29 x 20 inches. Now includes an A4 poster for informational purposes.

The famous painting by Van Gogh was created from memory during his extended stay at the asylum in Saint-Rémy, towards the end of his life, in 1889. Mentioned in correspondence with his brother Theo. Surviving letters from this period discuss and include preliminary sketches of many of his other works, remaining a mystery due to their absence, perhaps contributing to the work’s success in modern times. Starry Night captures the essence of Van Gogh's style, with its bold, textured brushstrokes, sweeping lines of motion, and exaggerated details that reflect the unsettling turmoil associated with the artist’s confinement. The dark tower on the left dominates the quiet village below, but is itself overshadowed by glowing orbs in the sky. Starry Night maintains the impression of the world around us but hints at emotions beyond and behind it.
