Description

We would like to present to you the work of Jarosław Jaśnikowski, one of Poland's leading creators of fantastic realism, whose paintings are part of collections worldwide.

Jarosław Jaśnikowski's paintings represent a kind of journey through the artist's exploration of unknown worlds. By creating an alternate reality, he applies completely different laws of physics, mocking gravity and the properties of matter. Although many of the "Alternate Worlds" by Jarek closely resemble the reality we encounter daily, it quickly becomes apparent that this apparent similarity is merely a pillar on which the artist builds his own universe. Jaśnikowski's painting is also characterized by his love for all kinds of fantastic vehicles, machines, and a fondness for Gothic style. His works are shrouded in a dark mystery, creating a unique atmosphere characteristic of this artist's oeuvre.
Surrealism, fantasy, and mysticism lend a unique charm to the artist's works.

Most of the artist's works are accompanied by short texts; here is the description of the painting "Red Baron":

"The air was incredibly crowded. Despite the infinite sky, the entire battle focused in one spot. A deadly ballet of steel birds spewing machine gun fire in all directions, with airships above, majestic giants, like large cities filled with helium. The Red Baron was a god in this world, his red Fokker slicing through the sky performing incredible maneuvers, only to surprise his enemies with fire and send another plane into smoke.
Then a blue blinking light on the dashboard and a buzzing sound in the helmet. The Red Baron pressed a few buttons near the control stick and… suddenly everything went completely dark. Just for a moment. He took off his composite helmet, disconnected a few plugs, and stood up from his desk. It was late, very late. Probably my wife will be angry again, and I’ll wake up tired for work the next day.
- he thought. He went to the kitchen to make himself some dinner. He might get three hours of sleep before catching the tram at six to the steelworks."
