iMuranesi is a unique project born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbin. He is the one who brought the heritage of one of the oldest Venetian families, associated with the creation of Venetian glass, into the design.
Models of this brand are one of a kind thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include harmony of detail, the use of modern manufacturing techniques, tasteful and contemporary design, and a strong connection between top designers and glass artisans.
iMuranesi is now a popular international company that combines contemporary creativity with the traditional values of Venetian glass.
The Barbin family is one of the renowned medieval dynasties. They established their presence in Venice as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic era, by decree of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbin family was included in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers.
Additionally, the family was granted a coat of arms – depicting two bearded wise men facing each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be admired at the Glass Museum in Murano.
