The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew is a world-renowned center for botanical and mycological knowledge. Kew has a gallery dedicated to the paintings of the remarkable Victorian artist Marianne North, who had a keen eye for botanical detail. She embarked in 1871 on a painting journey through the world's flora. North's trip to South Africa was one of her last, alongside visits to the Seychelles and Chile.
