Louis Comfort Tiffany was an American artist and designer working in the decorative arts. Throughout his career, he developed a unique style that combined exquisite craftsmanship with a love for natural forms and dazzling colors. Although he worked with many media, he is best known for his stained glass work. This beautiful design combines Tiffany's most famous medium with his favorite motif: the peacock. Peacock feathers appeared countless times throughout his personal life and career. Known for their beauty, peacocks have both religious and secular significance, making them an ideal design motif for Tiffany's church commissions.
