This brand is a unique project, initially born from the imagination of Giampaolo Barbiní. It was he who brought the heritage of one of the oldest Venetian families, associated with glassmaking from the most famous Venetian island, into it.

The Barbiní family is one of the distinguished medieval families. They established their presence on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbiní family was included in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, known as the register of the most renowned glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, the family was granted a coat of arms at that time – featuring two bearded wise men looking at each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be seen today in the Glass Museum on the island of Murano.
