Victorian glazed cabinet in oak color, with a shaped top above a decorative frieze for a dog and a pair of glazed doors covering 3 adjustable shelves (2 in the photo), all decorated with carved pateras in the corners and flanked by carved pilasters and drop-shaped carvings, all standing on a profiled plinth and casters. This antique cabinet retains its original finish with some light sanding on top. All in excellent domestic condition. Year 1880

These products were quite specific but offered new possibilities, such as the construction of credenzas and broadly speaking, chest furniture. Mythology and ancient times also inspired these designs, with supports and legs taking animal forms.  

Lion paws, eagle heads—these are common motifs in Renaissance style. Currently, many global brands reproduce such furniture, drawing inspiration from Italian and French creators. This reflects admiration and respect for the history of the most beautiful Renaissance antiques.
